Caius B were in the Elite category, so you'd be forgiven for thinking that

City appear to have some pictures up of both WeHoRR and the Men's divisions of bumps...which is pretty clever of them:

Funnily enough, the entire City boat club isn't just one person.

Not trying to be rude but...why are Caius B in the elite catagory for wehorr? Did it have point-carrying alumni in the boat? They did far better than Caius 'A'.

Last-minute sub with points meant they had to go in the Elite category, as all other categories were full.

Not quite. If you sub a rower in who tips you over the points of your original status entry then you automatically go into the Elite category. If they were novice to start with that would explain why they're down as Caius B as the other crew was entered in IM3.

The first boat had no points (so it was entered novice) and the second boat had one point (so senior 4) - and A, B are done by category so the second women were A.

Then one of the first women got injured, and the person who came in from the second women was the one with the point.

I heard that the second boat originally had two women with a point and hence remained IM3 even after the crew change. Tbh, it seems a bit unfair to put the people with points in the second boat just so the others can win the novice category...

That assumes that the people with points are better than those without.

A, B are originally assigned by status, but after the provisional draw is published there is a 72 hour window for amendments to crew assignments (i.e. which crew is the A crew etc) and to correct pennant categories if there are any mistakes/ommissions. I assume Caius either didn't bother to correct this, or it wasn't changed since both were new entries and that would have meant Caius B going off ahead of Caius A...
